How To Cook Ribs in the Oven

You ask "How to cook ribs in the oven?" here's how, by baking them

Season them to your own liking eg garlic, pepper, salt, meat tenderizer or of your choice

Place heavy duty aluminum foil in a rectangular metal baking pan, with enough hanging over the edges to fold over and cover the meat while it is cooking. Place the ribs on the foil with the arch of the ribs up. The pan should be large enough for all the meat to fit in one layer. Form a tent with your excess aluminum foil over the meat. It should be sealed tight enough to keep moisture in, but make it roomy enough so that it doesn't actually rest against the meat.

Put water in the bottom of the pan to a depth of a quarter of an inch. The water will create steam and keep the meat moist, while keeping the bottom of the pan and foil from scorching.

Bake in a preheated oven at 325 degree F (170C/Gas Mark 3)for about an hour. Remove the pan from the oven, and unfold the foil, then return to the oven, raise the temperature to 375 degrees F(190C Gas Mark 5) and allow to cook 10 to 15 minutes more. This will allow the ribs to brown and will cook off some of the juices in the pan. Done
