Margarita Recipe
Welcome to the Margarita Recipe web page which brings you the classic margarita. The Margarita is the most common tequila-based cocktail, made with tequila mixed with triple sec and lime or lemon juice, often served with salt on the glass rim.
The Classic
1 ounce tequila Dash of Triple Sec Juice of 1/2 lime or lemon
Pour over crushed ice, stir. Rub the rim of a stem glass with rind of lemon or lime, spin in salt—pour, and sip.
First Recipe Variation
1 lime, cut into wedges Coarse or kosher salt 1 (6 ounce) can frozen lime concentrate 3/4 cup tequila 6 tablespoons Triple Sec 1 (12 ounce) can lemon-lime or grapefruit soda 3 to 4 cup ice cubes Lime twist for garnish Lime peel for garnish
Rub rim of each cocktail glass with lime wedge; swirl glass in salt to coat rim. Combine half of each of the remaining ingredients, except garnishes, in blender container; blend until ice is finely chopped and mixture is slushy. Pour into salt-rimmed glasses. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Garnish, if desired
Another Recipe Variation
1 1/4 ounce Cuervo 1800 1/2 ounce Cointreau 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier 1 1/2 ounce Freshly squeezed lime juice 4 ounces Sweet and Sour Mix 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup Garnish: Lime wedge and olive spear
Add ingredients then ice to the mixing container then top it with a strainer. Serve in a cocktail glass, having first salted the rim.
