Thomas English Muffins

Welcome to the Thomas English Muffins web page which tells you all about English Muffins made by Thomas'

The word Muffin in the UK and possibly elsewhere has become linguistically clumsy with the arrival of gourmet coffee and flavored muffins....blueberry for example. Before that the UK just had muffins which were toasted for breakfast. In the US these are very sensibly distinguished from flavored muffins by calling them English Muffins and it would make sense if, in the UK, flavored muffins were called American Muffins but it won't happen.

Follow the link if you want to know more about the History of the Muffin
As you will notice there are Google Ads on this site and one such advert told of the arrival in the UK of Baconnaise a product in the stable of these two guys

The recipe for Easy Breakfast Muffins came from their blog

* 4 eggs, scrambled
* Any flavor Bacon Salt (we like Peppered)
* 1/8 cup Parmesan cheese - shredded or grated
* 4 English muffins
* Butter or margarine

Mix Bacon Salt with eggs. Heat a greased, non stick frying pan to medium heat. Keep the eggs together vs. separating them as they cook. Then split in two halves, add the Parmesan and a little more Bacon Salt and then fold over each in the pan - almost like two omelets. Toast the English muffins, add a small amount of butter to each side, then place the eggs in between the two halves of the English muffins. Enjoy!
